If memory serves, Valentino has an odd window, in that his pre-1923 films are (obviously) PD, his films that are post-1923 to when he joined United Artists are under copyright, and the films he did for UA until his death are PD, because United Artists, if memory serves, abandoned a *lot* of copyrights on silent films in the late 40s.

That would also mean that Cobra isn't (it was his last non-UA film) and The Eagle, his first UA film, is.

This is only from memory. I highly suggest someone who has decent copyright-fu actually look it up.
